Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FireFight hosted service at app.firefight.app and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by [FireFight Labs — legal entity name] ("FireFight", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and represent that you have authority to do so.

The Service

FireFight is a Slack-native incident management platform. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Accounts and Slack authorization

You sign in through Slack and authorize FireFight to operate within your Slack workspace. You are responsible for your account, for the actions of users in your workspace, and for maintaining the security of your Slack access. You must provide accurate information and comply with Slack's terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any law or the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer the hosted Service except as permitted by applicable law or the open-source license
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code or unlawful content

Subscriptions, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page. Trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription or pause access at the end of the trial period as described at signup. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.

Open source and self-hosting

The FireFight software is open source and licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Your rights to the software itself are governed by that license, not these Terms. These Terms apply only to the hosted Service we operate. If you self-host FireFight, you do so under the AGPL-3.0 and are responsible for your own deployment, data, and compliance.

Your data and ownership

You retain all rights to the data you and your workspace submit to the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide and support the Service, including processing relevant content through AI models to generate the features you request. We do not use your data to train AI models. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Except for the open-source software and your Customer Data, the Service, including the FireFight name, logo, website, and hosted platform, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks.

Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties such as Slack and AI providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. FireFight assists with incident response but does not guarantee any outcome, and AI-generated output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireFight will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FireFight harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your Customer Data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and disconnect it from Slack at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the hosted Service ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in [jurisdiction/venue] will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable law.

Changes to these Terms
